The challenge
A website for accommodation in Chania has to convince foreign visitors who have never seen the place. They want to understand right away where each property is, what it looks like inside and how to book dates without clicking through many pages. Visitors usually compare with Booking and Airbnb, so your own site has to be at least as clear and fast on mobile.
When a business has more than one property, the site has to show them under one name while keeping the character of each. And because the audience is international, it needs at least a second language. One property was already open for bookings and the second was being prepared, so the site had to show both without confusing visitors.
What we built
We built the site in WordPress with Elementor Pro. The homepage presents the collection and both properties, the Venetian Harbour Residence on Kountouriotou Street and Aeora Villa in Tersanas, each with its own "Discover" and "Book" buttons. Aeora Villa carries a "Coming soon" label until it opens, so visitors know what they can book today.
The multilingual setup uses WPML in English and French, with correct hreflang. The Booking page explains the seasons and offers and leads to the property's booking engine, while the villa links to its own site.
We added Location, Our Commitment, Gallery and Contact pages, a sticky header so "Book now" is always visible, and a cookie banner for visitor consent. The footer has the addresses of both properties, the phone number and links to Facebook and Instagram.
