An e-shop built for the Greek market, not a generic template
An online store in Greece has needs that an off-the-shelf foreign theme does not cover. Customers want to pay by card, cash on delivery or IRIS (Greece's instant bank payment system). They want to pick a BoxNow locker (a Greek parcel-locker network) near home and expect an SMS with the tracking number. You want each order to print an ACS (Greek courier) voucher in one click, the receipt to go to myDATA (Greece's tax e-invoicing platform) and your products to appear on Skroutz (Greece's largest price-comparison site).
Our e-shop builds start from there. We set up WooCommerce on WordPress, with euro pricing, VAT per category, shipping by weight or region, and every cart text correct in Greek. You pay no monthly platform fee and no commission on sales, and the store is entirely yours.
- No commission per sale and no platform subscription
- Up to 50 products loaded by us, with photos and variations
- Free domain and hosting for the 1st year, then €100 +VAT per year
E-shop development: what you need to get started
The most common question we get is "what do I need to open an e-shop?". The short answer is less than you think. But some things should be started early, because approval from a bank or courier can take a few days.
If you are missing any of the items below, we tell you exactly where to go. Many clients start with cash on delivery and card payments via Viva Wallet, then add more couriers or Skroutz later.
- A registered business with an online retail activity code (KAD), which your accountant arranges
- An account with a payment provider: Viva Wallet, Everypay or a bank POS (Greek payment providers)
- A courier contract: ACS, ELTA Courier, Geniki Taxydromiki or BoxNow (Greek couriers)
- A product list in Excel with prices, SKUs and stock
- Product photos, ideally on a white or neutral background
- Terms of use, returns policy and shipping methods (we give you a template)
Payments, couriers and Skroutz in one store
We connect the e-shop to Viva Wallet, Everypay or your bank's payment system, so customers pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay without leaving the site. We add cash on delivery with a fee you set, and bank transfer for those who prefer it.
For shipping we set up ACS, ELTA Courier, Geniki or BoxNow, depending on your contract. You can set free shipping above a certain amount, different rates for islands or remote areas, and in-store pickup. For Skroutz and Google Merchant Center we provide a feed that updates prices and availability automatically, so you never sell something that is out of stock.
myDATA, invoices and supplier XML
If you issue a receipt or invoice for every order, we can connect WooCommerce to an e-invoicing provider. The receipt or invoice is then issued and sent to myDATA without you entering it by hand. This connection is optional, and we discuss it together with your accountant.
If you sell products from suppliers who provide XML feeds, as is common in electronics, cosmetics and homeware, we set up automatic import. Products, prices and stock update on their own at regular intervals, and you set the profit margin per category. Connecting each supplier costs from €150 +VAT, depending on the file format.
- Automatic price and stock updates from XML
- Profit rules per category or brand
- Hiding products that are out of stock at the supplier
E-shop development: prices and what they include
E-shop development costs from €700 +VAT. For this price you get a complete WooCommerce store with up to 50 products loaded, card payments, an ACS or ELTA connection, a Skroutz feed, basic SEO on categories and products, GA4 with sales tracking and 3 months of support. If you have more products, we import them from Excel or XML instead of one by one.
A cosmetics e-shop with 40 SKUs and a spare-parts store with 3,000 SKUs from two suppliers do not cost the same, and we will not tell you they do. We send you a written quote with everything you need included, with no charges that show up along the way. Payment is 50% at the start and 50% on delivery.
E-shop development in Athens, with people who answer the phone
An e-shop is not finished the day it goes live. You will need new categories, Black Friday discounts, a coupon for your Instagram customers. Our office is at Iliados 105 in Athens and we answer Monday to Saturday, 9:00 to 21:00. After the 3 months of free support you can continue with a monthly maintenance plan from €50 +VAT, which keeps WooCommerce updated, takes backups and covers small changes.
Since 2016 we have completed more than 600 projects, and our clients rate us 5.0★ on Google across 36 reviews. We work with stores across Attica and Greece, as well as with clients in Cyprus, the USA and Canada.
