The challenge
A SaaS website in a crowded market has a few seconds to answer "why this and not the tool I already know". In uptime monitoring, developers already know names like UptimeRobot, Pingdom and Better Stack. If the page doesn't show right away what the service does differently and what it costs, the visitor closes the tab.
PingHawk has concrete arguments: it measures p50, p95 and p99 latency per endpoint, sends SMS alerts even on the free plan and charges a flat price no matter how many people are on call. These had to be clear, together with the path to signup and to the app login, and the site had to load fast for a worldwide audience.
What we built
The homepage is one long page with Features, Compare and Pricing sections. It opens with the core message, "Start monitoring free" and "Sign in" buttons pointing to app.pinghawk.net, and a dashboard image showing monitors, latency and an alert. The features section presents latency percentiles, free SMS, public status pages, Slack alerts, on-call scheduling and the upcoming iOS and Android app, each tagged "Live now" or "Coming soon".
The comparison table puts PingHawk next to Better Stack, UptimeRobot and Pingdom, row by row: free monitors, p99, anomaly alerts, per-seat pricing, SSL and the cost for a three-person team. Then come the three plans, Free, Standard and Business, with what each includes and the discount for annual billing.
The app runs separately at app.pinghawk.net, with signup and login pages protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. The public site is served statically through Cloudflare for fast loading, is measured with Google Analytics 4 and has Contact, Privacy, Terms and account deletion pages, which the app stores also require.
