The challenge
A transfer website on Rhodes has one main job: to book rides before the traveller lands at the airport. Customers want to see a price for their specific route, pick a vehicle based on passengers and luggage, and pay without sending an email and waiting for a reply.
At the same time, a transfer company on the island earns a lot from tours, because the same customer who came from the airport later wants to see Lindos or the Valley of the Butterflies. The site had to show both without getting heavy, and work comfortably on a traveller's phone.
What we built
We built the site in WordPress with Elementor Pro and placed the booking form high on the homepage. Visitors choose a pickup point and destination from a list of areas on Rhodes, such as the Airport, Port, Faliraki, Lindos, Ialysos and Pefkos, enter date and time and the number of adults and children, and choose one-way or return. The system calculates distance and time and shows the available vehicles, filtered by passengers and luggage.
Booking is completed with card or PayPal payment on WooCommerce. The site also supports discount coupons, which the business uses for off-season offers. The fleet is presented with cards for the electric VW ID4, ID5, ID7 and a minivan, with capacity and luggage space.
For the tours we built separate pages: Lindos Discovery Tour, Right Side Rhodes Tour, Butterflies - Lindos Tour, a Mega Tour of the left side of the island and a custom private tour. There is also a WhatsApp button, a Google map and Complianz for cookies.
