The challenge
A boat rental website on Milos is aimed mainly at tourists searching on their phones, often on the same day or a few days ahead. They want to see right away how many people each boat takes, what it comes with and whether a licence is needed. If that isn't on the first screen, the visitor goes back to Google and books with the competitor next door.
The audience is international but there are also many Greek visitors, so two languages were needed. A site like this also has to sell the destination: Kleftiko, Sarakiniko and Tsigrado are the reason someone wants a boat, so the content has to show them.
What we built
We set up the site in WordPress with Elementor Pro and the Hello Elementor theme. The homepage opens with "Live a Sea Quest in Milos Island", explains that the boats can be driven without a licence and presents the three boats in the fleet, Iliriana - Mia, Elena - Agapi and Arben, with a capacity of 5 or 6 people and a list of amenities such as a fridge, soft drinks, water, a sound system, a sun canopy, life jackets for adults and children, and snorkelling gear.
Each boat shows whether it's rented for a half or full day, and the "Book now" buttons lead to the contact page with a MetForm form, phone, email and WhatsApp. The site runs in English and Greek with WPML, with correct hreflang so each language appears in the right search.
We added a section on the best beaches of Milos, a separate fleet page with a gallery, a blog for destination articles and a widget showing the business's Google reviews. The footer has the address in Agia Kyriaki with a directions link, and a cookie notice handles consent.
