The challenge
A transfer website in Crete is aimed mainly at foreign travellers who book before they leave home. They want to know that someone will be waiting at arrivals even if the flight is late, that the price is fixed and that a child seat is available. If that isn't visible right away, they book on a big booking platform instead.
A transport company also needs to show up for specific searches, such as airport transfer Heraklion or port transfer, and to take bookings without answering every email by hand. The business had also gone through a name change to The Chauffeurs, so the site had to carry the new identity across every page.
What we built
We built the site in WordPress with Elementor Pro, in English and Greek with WPML and correct hreflang. Each service has its own page: transfers from Heraklion airport, from the port, within the city, and a chauffeur service by the hour or for the whole day. That way each page targets its own search on Google.
The Book Now page embeds the booking engine of the company's partner, so customers choose a route and book without leaving the site. On the homepage we explain what travellers ask about: fixed prices, a 24-hour service, child seats and flight tracking with no charge for delays.
The phone number and email stay at the top, and there is a WhatsApp button and a contact form. The footer shows the MHTE number (Greek tourism licence), while the cookie banner and Google Site Kit with the Google Ads tag are set up to measure bookings from ads.
