The challenge
A beach bar website has one main job in summer: to fill spots before customers arrive at the beach. Visitors to Gytheio search on their phone, often that same morning, and want to know what a sunbed costs, whether there are umbrellas and how to reserve a spot without calling. Many foreign visitors come to Laconia too, so the same information has to be available in English.
But a beach bar doesn't live on swimming alone. Bayamo runs DJ sets and music nights and hosts weddings, christenings and private events. These speak to a different audience and need their own space on the site, so anyone planning a reception by the sea can find the information that concerns them right away.
What we built
We built the site in WordPress with Elementor Pro and the Hello Elementor theme. The homepage opens with "Book now" and a booking form where the customer picks a sunbed (€10) or an umbrella (€20), a date and the number of people, and leaves their name, phone and email. The "Book now" button stays in the menu on every page and goes straight to the form.
We split the content into About Us, The beach, Events, Special days and Gallery pages. The events page presents Sunset DJ Sessions, Live Nights and private events, while Special days covers weddings, christenings and private parties. The story of the place, which opened in 2022, sits on the homepage to give it a personal tone.
The English version was set up with Polylang and Connect Polylang for Elementor, with its own URLs under /en/. The food menu opens from ninefood's QR menu, and the footer has a Google map, phone, email, Instagram and Facebook.
