The challenge
An IT company has two kinds of customers. One wants someone to set up their network or fix their computer, the other wants to buy a router or a monitor. An IT e-shop has to serve both, without the business owner looking for support getting lost in a catalogue of HDMI cables.
With IT equipment, customers often don't know exactly what they need. They ask whether a mesh Wi-Fi system covers their office or which UPS suits their server. That is why a business like this does better when the site lets customers show interest in a product and talk to a technician before buying.
What we built
We built the site in WordPress with Elementor Pro and WooCommerce. The homepage starts with the services: business IT support, networks and Wi-Fi, repairs and upgrades, system protection and backups, and equipment supply and installation. We wrote the company copy and the Company and Services pages, and further down we lead into the e-shop.
The store has ten main categories with subcategories, from laptops and mini PCs to switches, access points, NAS, UPS units and IP phones. Every product has an "I'm interested" button that sends a request to the company with the product code, so they can contact the customer before the order.
The forms send to info@drmit.gr. We set up Google Analytics tracking for calls, emails, map clicks, forms and product requests, so the company can see where customers come from. There is a cookie banner with separate consent for analytics and the map, plus terms, privacy and shipping pages.
