The challenge
Building a cosmetics e-shop, especially for K-beauty, has one difficulty: the catalog is full of routine steps the average shopper does not know, such as toner, booster, serum, essence or patches. If the categories are not clear, visitors get lost and leave. It also needs fast, cheap shipping, because cosmetics orders are small and frequent.
Lily's Blossom also sells to businesses: other e-shops, stores and beauty salons. Professionals had to see their own prices and have their own shipping rates, without those prices showing to regular customers and without the business setting up a second site.
What we built
We built the e-shop on WordPress with WooCommerce and Elementor Pro. The categories follow the skincare routine: cleansers, exfoliation, toner, booster, serum, masks, eye and face creams, sunscreens and make-up, and next to them body care, hair care and fragrances for home and car. There is a page for the Korean brands, a Mystery Box, offers and product filters.
For wholesale we built our own plugin, WebDragon Wholesale. The business applies with its VAT number and company name, the account waits for the owner's approval, and once approved the customer sees wholesale prices per product and their own shipping rates. Regular visitors see only retail prices.
Orders ship with BOX NOW (a Greek parcel-locker network) and shipping is free over €60. Payment is by card through Cardlink (a Greek card processor), PayPal or bank transfer. We connected the store to Facebook and Google for the product catalog and ads, and added a loyalty points program for repeat customers.
