The challenge
A restaurant chain website has to serve customers who want to eat now. They open the site on their phone, look at the menu and look for how to order from the store in their town. With five stores in four towns, each with its own phone number and its own page on Wolt and Foody, all of this has to be organized so nobody ends up ordering from the wrong store.
Wok In A Box also has a menu twist. Customers build their own box in three steps: a base of noodles or rice, ingredients and sauces. That calls for a menu with a price per ingredient, and many customers also want to know the calories in what they choose. In Cyprus the audience is mixed, so everything had to be available in Greek and English.
What we built
We built the site on WordPress with Astra Pro, Elementor Pro and Ultimate Addons. The homepage explains the three steps of the box, shows the opening hours and has a tabbed section for each town: Lakatamia, Larnaca, Limassol, Nicosia and Paphos. Each tab has the address with a Google Maps link, a one-tap phone number and buttons for Wolt, Foody or take-away ordering.
The menu page is split into Make your own box, Ready Combos, Poke Bowls, Bao buns, Sushi Tacos, Sushi Burritos, Salads and Extras, with a price for every base, ingredient and ready box. We also built a Calorific Value page with tables for protein, fat, carbohydrates and calories per base, protein, vegetable and topping, so customers can work out their own box.
The second language was added with TranslatePress, SEO was set up with SEOPress Pro and tracking with Site Kit by Google. There is also a gallery, a blog, a newsletter form with WPForms and honeypot spam protection, a cookie banner and links to Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
